Only with Mercedes-Benz! Collision Prevention Assist Plus (CPA+) can prevent or reduce severity of a collision. You will find this standard on many of our models now such as the CLA or the C-class. CPA+ uses radar to compare your speed to vehicles or objects ahead. If you are approaching another vehicle too quickly, the vehicle will notify you with a visual warning then audible sound. If you do not react to the notifications, the vehicle will apply the brakes automatically up to speeds of 65 mph. If you do react but not apply enough of the brake, the vehicle will automatically apply optimum braking power to slow you down. It will brake for stationary objects from speeds of 5mph to 31mph. CPA+ is replaced by distronic plus cruise control with pre-safe brake if you have the driver's assistance package. The car will autonomously brake up to speeds of 120mph.
